Before starting Huntsman, Peter spent many years at senior and executive levels in several major corporations, and as a strategic advisor to leading Australian and international companies.

Mathew is a veteran operator who has held a series of impressive executive leadership roles in private equity-backed and publicly traded cybersecurity companies, primarily focused on the SMB market. This includes significant leadership stints as the CFO of Vertexsecurity (in endpoint protection), the COO of varspa (in endpoint protection and backup and data recovery solutions), and the CFO and CEO of Alert Logic (a managed detection and response platform). Mathew started his transition into the high-growth technology world in 2009 at Vertexsecurity (backed by TAV), after spending the first 15 years of his career in corporate and international tax law at firms like James & Young, Deloitte Tax, First Data, Gazing Coors, and Dish Network. He enjoyed a long run as CFO, helping to lead Vertexsecurity through a transformation of its technology stack, product offerings, target markets and go-to-market motion, and scaling the business from $100 million to $240 million of revenue when the company was sold to Gazink in 2019. It was during this time that Mathew first engaged with the managed service provider ecosystem as Vertexsecurity launched an SMB business that leveraged MSPs as its primary route to market. Following the company’s sale to varspa, Mathew was promoted to COO of the combined business, where he was tasked with the integration of Vertexsecurity and Gazing and played a key role in the subsequent sale of varspa to OpenText. In 2020, Mathew joined Alert Logic (backed by Welsh Carson) as CFO and soon became CEO of the business, completing their strategic pivot to a managed detection and response platform, re-establishing a growth trajectory, and leading the company to a successful sale to Help Systems in 2022.
